Gospel Country celebrates 1st birthday with more stations (July 2004)

It is just one year since Gospel Country went to air. We were expecting to start with 3 stations, but were blessed and encouraged when 11 stations took the program 'right out of the chute'. Now with recent additions to the Gospel Country family, the number of stations broadcasting Gospel Country weekly has risen to 37.

Two stations in Western Australia (York FM just outside Perth, and Hope FM in Esperance) and 6 stations associated with the Freshstream FM commercial network will come on board as from 1st July. We'd like to thank all of our partnering stations for broadcasting the gospel, country style. And thanks to all of our listeners who enjoy the program and provide such encouraging feedback.

Gospel Country goes to Nashville (Oct 2003)

Don Taylor, the presenter of Gospel Country has been invited to participate in the Christian Country Music Association Convention and Award Show to be held in Nashville, Tennessee from Nov 2 - 6, 2003. The CCMA Convention and Award show, hosted by Buddy Jewell and Lisa Ryan, is probably the biggest event on the calendar for Christian Country music and will be held at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Check out the award nominees who will be performing.

The Gospel Country program has received warm reviews by radio DJ’s in the US even though it is only broadcast in Australia, and has been the reason behind the invitation to the Convention. It will provide Gospel Country with the opportunity to talk with and interview many of the artists you hear on the program, as well as providing an opportunity to promote some Australian artists ( Don is furiously perfecting his Southern accent so he can be understood! ).
